Re: Help: Operation Round-card Girl.
Had you looked at the photos posted at OOTPD, you would have seen round-card girls in standard attire. Although we have some topless RCG photos, they are the minority. It's never a good idea to upstage the principal attractions, which are the fighters themselves! As those who care to look can see, t...

Re: Help: Operation Round-card Girl.
Is 2.5 still available? Here or elsewhere? I understood from e-mails with Paul that he had the rights. Also, the point really is irrelevant: As I recall, the current bout log isn't all that different from the old one. So, do we want better graphics or not? Do we want the round-card girls atop the ro...

Re: Knockout Rate
I'm not that familiar with the more recent versions of the games; however, at least in TB2.5, the performance is linked intimately to the boxer profile data. This comes from the original (card) game (which I always call the Trunzo model). A typical class heavyweight in the Trunzo model was Jersey Jo...

Help: Operation Round-card Girl.
I posted the following at OOTPD; I offer it here also in the hope someone has a better idea than this beginner (alas, the images were too big, but those who want to can see them at OOTPD): Help: Operation Round-card Girl I am trying to add some graphics to TB2.5 (the WTBA uses this platform because ...

Re: Game Development
In the Trunzo model, punching is scored per a 3-card sequence we did not change. The first card (the "CF card") established control; the second card (the "RN card") generated the random number (1-80); and the third card (the "result card") generated the result. If a fig...

Re: Game Development
In the Trunzo model, there is no actual movement in the game. The corners and (half) the ropes exist solely for pinning or cornering. Pinning or cornering affects control factor for the duration of the pin. Other than this, action occurs primarily in the vast wasteland of "ring center." As...

Re: Game Development
My computer is backing itself up. Let's take this time to move on to ring positions : In the Trunzo model, the board had a ring depicted in which there was a vast amount of space designated "ring center." There also were six additional (and small) areas designated "A Corner," &qu...

Re: Wish List for 2014
The problem with a smaller animation screen, in favor of a larger text box, is that it makes it very difficult to customize the animations. I prefer to use screen lifts from movies of actual fights rather than the generic animations of the game. These readily can be substituted in any of the TB vers...

Game Development
I'm going to open a thread here to post some ideas re game development, starting here with the timing of events. For those who don't know, the Trunzo model (the Avalon Hill board game) was designed primarily to simulate men's heavyweight boxing. It takes some time to set up the game, then run a simu...

I just noticed that, unlike TB2.5, I cannot click on the belt of the opening screen to get to P.I.S.D.
Is this a bug? Or, was the option removed?

We Need Missing 2.5 Features Restored!
The most important thing we can have is restoration of some of the features we lost from TB2.5: 1. Run the Scheduler 1,000 times (no, the new one only goes to 999), and all one gets are the results (and those include a lot of black print on a charcoal background). In TB2.5, one also could call up th...

Re: Bug Report
Because of the license problem, progress is slow; however, I've found another one: Loaded two WTBA fighters, Karen Baker and Tina Antman, into Scheduler and tried to simulate 999 bouts as a terst. Antman was an amateur topless boxer/actress now living in Amsterdam and Baker an English fantasy fighte...

Re: "Your license is out of date" message
I'll report this here since it does not really fit on the "bug" thread: Previously, I reported that I was having trouble getting my TB2.5 to work in my new #3 computer (which also is not usually attached to the internet). This problem was solved when I configured the game to Windows 7 (the...

My first effort here must have been bushwacked by the hack attack. I'll try again: I'll start a running list here of anything readers have found which doesn't work. Re: Will game self destruct w/o internet?
Has TB2.5 been permanently deactivated? I bought a disk for it when I purchased the game, and I just got a new computer; but, after installing the game, the shortcut does not work, nor can I start the game directly from the program list. Obviously, something is wrong. This is another computer which ...

Re: Do we have something against boxers from Argentina?
I have had individual fighters do this to me. I found that the tcbx file was corrupted in some way, and that the only fix was to reinstall the fighter as a "new" entry, then delete the old one. Maybe that's too long-handed, but it does work.

Re: Will game self destruct w/o internet?
Unfortunately, Paul, your answer is bad dope (the EULA agreement literally is correct). :o When one disconnects a computer from the internet, one gets a polite, little note that the license is "outdated" and a reminder to make sure one is connected to the internet. My second game is not wo...

Display Fix Needed!
I don't know about anyone else, but my bout logs are showing black type on a charcoal background.
This makes them all but unreadable until they are transferred to a word program where I can change the colors.
N.B.: Some of the type is yellow, and this or white would show up nicely.

Re: No Access to Imported 2.5 Fighter Records
There is something wrong with the imported fighter file, itself (I tried others, and they work).
I'll assassinate the file and import a replacement. It probably failed to load correctly when first imported (I've had that happen before in 2.5).

Re: No Access to Imported 2.5 Fighter Records
My mistake, Paul: The error which generated the shutdown was: tbcb.exe has stopped working. It then asked me to send a report to Microsoft, so that they could take a look at it. I don't know if this be related; however, I updated some of my security programs at the time I downloaded the game. The ne...

No Access to Imported 2.5 Fighter Records
Anyone else having this problem? My game crashes every time I first select a fighter imported from 2.5, then try to look at her stats or settings. Re: Will game self destruct w/o internet?
Forgive me (I'm just stupid). Will game self destruct w/o internet?
Dear Paul, A few of us actually read the EULA agreement, and one element troubled me, viz. , that the game "could" stop working if one does not have an internet connection. How likely is this to happen? One of my two computers commonly is disconnected from the internet for extended periods...

Re: New game, new questions!
WTBA = Women's Topless Boxing Association (the women are bare breasted, DWW style). Strong sexual element you perhaps don't want to add to your game (let me know if otherwise). However, there is one thing you should consider applicable to any form of women's boxing, and that is the much lower upper-...

Re: New game, new questions!
We're no criminals and would not dream of stealing your stuff. We just want a game variant that comports with the rules of the WTBA and creates logs which don't individually require two hours of editing (that was driving me crazy). What was done was no less benign than having some other fan contribu...

New game, new questions!
A few questions to get started here: 1. Are you a new company different from OOTPD? If so, did you buy the game outright? Or are you still associated with Andreas? 2. I ask (1) because, when I click on the "belt" on the opening screen of TB2.5, that brings me here, and I no longer can acce...
