Never Received License (OOTPX)

Post by ItsJimmy »

I purchased the two licenses through PayPal today on my Mac. I have the receipt for it but I never received my licenses for the game. I checked in my PISD account as well and there were no licenses there.

What am I doing wrong?

You are doing nothing wrong.

I can see from the system trace that my server got a read error from the PayPal server when they tried to notify me of your purchase. This is a very unusual event, but it is catered for. PayPal will try to notify me again as the transaction did not complete correctly. I will keep and eye on this and if it does not sort its self out automatically I will enter your licenses manually.

Thank you.

No rush, but is there any sort of timetable on this?

I have manually kicked the system, you now have two OOTP10 licenses, and with a little luck you will also have received an email with your license details. If you have any further problems please post back.

Hi, I just purchased the game and have not received a license either.

Can you look into this for me?

indyumd... You have not received your licenses as your payment is not yet complete. It can take a few days for an echeck to clear and until it does PayPal does not tell me the transaction is complete. You can see the state of your payment by logging into your PayPal account. Once your payment is shown as competed your licenses will be issued.

Seriously?

Its annoying enough to have to pay via Paypal, but now I'm not even going to be able to play this weekend, which is pretty much entirely why I purchased the game.

It would be helpful to have some sort of notice about this on the front end.

Is there anything I can do to rectify this situation so that I don't have to wait a week to play the game? Paypal says this won't go through until Wednesday at the earliest.

Sorry, I am not an expert with PayPal. I dont even know how you managed to select echeck payment. My PayPal uses my credit card and it all happens straight away. It must have somthing to do with how you set up your account. We are loooking at setting up alternate payment systems but due to anti fraud laws it takes a lot of time and is very complex dealing with the banks.

And there is no way to get some sort of temporary license or something until the check clears?

Thats a question for the OOTP chaps as it is not my game. Though technically it is rather awkward to do. Is there nothing you can do with your PayPal account to speed up payment?

I have had a look at your account and I can't see any record of your payment at all. I normally see if there is an echeck waiting to clear. Can you forward me your PayPal receipt so I can track what is happening. There may be a slight delay in working this out tho as I need the OOTP chaps to look at their PayPal account and they are on Holiday, plus I will be out of the office a lot next week. That said I will do my best to get you up and running as fast as I can.

I couldn't find your email anywhere, and I tried to uploaded it here but it seems it's not allowed to upload .pdf.

What's the easiest way to forward it to you.

Sincerely

Carsten Hansen.
