can't enter license #

I have read the forums and tried everything,but I can't enter my number.As soon as I enter the first # it gives me a try again option
Check your internet connection. If that does not help then try using the offline licensing mode but ticking the check box at the bottom of the serial dialog. See the section on manual licensing on this FAQ:

If neither of these suggestions work, email the manual offline licensing string to someone@pisd.co.uk and I investigate further.
