P.I.S.D. Ltd is devoting its unused computing power to World Community Grid to assist in finding a cure for Muscular Dystrophy and research into A.I.D.S. amoungst others. The website has been overhauled and given a fresh look. With a new easy to navigate design.

Sports Interactive Ltd has agreed to use the P.I.S.D. Development Libraries on some of their new games.

Development on the platform independent libraries was slow as both the programmers had full time jobs. Both of them had left the flight simulator industry and gone their own way. However they stayed in contact and continued to work on the libraries.

In July 1997 the two were once again working together. On the 29th November 2001 P.I.S.D. Ltd was registered as a limited company in England and Wales.

In 1994 two guys were working on flight simulator systems. This software was written on three hardware platforms, DOS, Unix on Silicon Graphics Work stations and Embedded Unix OS on Motorola axillary target cards.

A lot of time was wasted as engineers switched between the systems and were forced to learn the idiosyncrasies of each platform. These two guys decided there had to be a better way and so set about designing a platform independent GUI that would remove these headaches.

And so P.I.S.D. was born...
