What is the "P.I.S.D. Installer"?

The P.I.S.D. Installer creates a cross platform installation from an easy to use configuration file. It has been built using the P.I.S.D. Development Libraries and demonstrates how easy it is to create an intuitive, attractive user interface across different platforms. The P.I.S.D. Installer has a number of useful features that include:

• XML based configuration for fast easy setup.
• A fully customisible graphical skin.
• Available on all capable platforms supported by the P.I.S.D. Development Libraries, including Linux, MacOSX and MS Windows.
• Capability to store data for all platforms in a single installation package (requires specific executables for each platform).
• Platform filtering too fine tune an installation using one configuration file.
• Desktop and menu shortcut controls on applicable platforms, including application, internet URL and text file (readme) launching.
• Simple to use localization controls in the XML configuration file.
• Support for system default installation locations when applicable.
• Controls to allow or disable use of system default installation locations.
• Specify where files are to be installed.
• Support for multiple installation types.
• Smart duplicate file detection ensuring a source file will only be stored once even when referenced multiple times.
• Includes an un-installer to remove the installed files.

But I don't have any income from my game/app and want a free version...

There is a free version of the installer availible for non-commercial use. It is free to anyone who wants to use it so long as your application is not for sale. If you are planning to sell your application please contact P.I.S.D. Ltd to discuss options.
